When they first met through mutual friends, they were both in relationships and didn’t give each other another thought… until they met again. Months later, when they were both single, Alexia & Max bumped into each other again at The Academic bar, and something clicked, and they ended up dancing the night away.
After Alexia was accepted to Law School in Australia, they continued a long distance relationship for 2 years, and only got to see every 4 months. But using BBM, Skype, Facetime, and iMessage they kept their relationship strong, learned valuable communication skills, and beat the ‘long-distance-odds’!
Max finally popped the question, when he sneak attacked Alexia on the way to running a Walmart errand. After saying the obvious yes, and receiving her stunning diamond, Alexia made sure to ask, “But does this mean we’re not going to Walmart?”
We shot their perfect spring engagement photos at Van Dusen Gardens and under the beautiful magenta magnolias and blush cherry blossoms.
Alexia & Max are such a charming couple, that are quick to smile and make a joke. They love to travel, going out for dinner, drinking wine, and are super close to their families (four things that I also love!), so I just knew that we were going to have an amazing time at their wedding at Richmond Golf Club on August long weekend!
